Senior Boys Athletics
The senior boys athletics team have had a very busy and successful start the summer.
They competed in the Lee Valley outdoor cup, English schools first round and the Barking and Dagenham Athletics Championship.
All the athletes have given their all, but special praise must go to some individuals.
Zak has beaten the 40m mark in Discus and is eyeing a place at the County championships.
Gideon has come close to the school record in the 300m and is looking to move up on the power of 10 website. Eddie has clinched the borough 1500m title and is testament to hard work and perseverance.
The season is not over yet and I look forward to seeing the lads continue to progress.
Barking and Dagenham Athletics Champions
On Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th of May the Robert Clack Athletes took part in the annual Barking and Dagenham Championships.
There are 12 schools in the borough all vying for the overall champion's title. Our athletes really stepped up to the challenge and performed with heart, determination, and great athleticism.
The individual teams finished in the following positions out of 12 in their respective competitions.
Year 7 boys - 1st
Year 7 girls - 2nd
Year 8 boys - 1st
Year 8 girls - 1st
Year 9 boys - 3rd
Year 9 girls 2nd
Year 10 boys - 1st
Year 10 girls - 1st
This meant that we retained the school title for the 26th year in a row.
We are extremely proud of this achievement and all the work our students do to make this happen.
