We are immensely proud of the GCSE successes enjoyed by our cohort of Year 11 students. We are delighted for them, and we are particularly impressed with those students who have battled through challenging personal circumstances to secure some fantastic grades. Some of the happiest smiles have come from students who didn’t believe they could achieve, yet they did! 37 pupils achieved grades 9 to 7 in 8 or more subjects.
Our Headteacher, Russell Taylor, observed:
“Despite the horrendous circumstances that they have endured during the past two years, I am exceptionally proud of our Year 11 pupils who, through their hard work, commitment and perseverance, and together with the steadfast support of our staff, have achieved phenomenal success in their GCSEs. We look forward to welcoming the vast majority of our pupils into our highly successful sixth form in September.”
Our teachers feel incredibly excited about the prospect of receiving these students into our Sixth Form in order to support them in the next stage of their academic lives. We are pleased to report that 220 students from this GCSE cohort will be returning to our sixth form in September.
