I am beyond excited to share my experience with The Brilliant Club Scholars Programme!
As a Year 12 student, I was fortunate enough to be selected for the program last October. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about the university grade project and the large essay that was expected of me. But with the guidance and support of my PhD tutor and friends, I was able to overcome my doubts and work hard towards achieving my goals.
I am pleased to announce that I secured a 1st class grade for my essay, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication that went into it. The program has truly opened doors for me and allowed me to develop my skills in research, writing and analysis.
What's more, I had the opportunity to visit Kings College London for a graduation ceremony! Along with my fellow Brilliant Club Scholars, it was amazing to be able to tour the campus and learn more about university life from current students. We were able to network and connect with other students from different schools who had also completed the program. It was truly an insightful experience, being able to experience university life and workload first-hand.
As I approach the end of my Year 12 studies, this experience has really helped me in making informed decisions about my future university choices. I am now even more motivated to pursue higher education and I am truly grateful for this amazing opportunity.
Thank you to The Brilliant Club, my PHD tutor, and my fellow students for an unforgettable experience!

The Scholars Program was an amazing experience which I am very proud of being a part of, having created something at a university standard at this age has improved both my confidence of applying to a university but the ability to do well there. Despite being a challenging experience, I am able to look back at this as a way to remind myself of how I overcame challenges and can continue to do so. I learned about the bacterium Porphyromonas gingivalis and gained knowledge about a subject which I most likely wouldn’t have even thought about, it was truly interesting. The Scholars Program has helped me learn about the different ways of teaching in university and has prepared me for the type of work which I would receive. I want to thank my teachers for organising this and the alumni for helping to fund this great experience for myself and my fellow peers. Gobind Sunner Year 12
