On the 25th of June, the Year 12 History cohort visited SOAS university for a school trip. They had a brilliant lecture on Chinese history to support their NEA knowledge. The students were extremely engaged and asked thought-provoking questions about Chinese history. Along with the lecture, they had a university seminar where they could speak directly to the lecturer about the importance of secondary and primary literature. In addition, the students were given a tour of the SOAS university campus and an opportunity to engage with university students. Finally, they ended the day with a personal statement workshop, which was extremely insightful and informative. Mr Crosbie Jones and I were extremely impressed with their dedication to learning about university life.
