On Thursday 24th June 2021 we had the privilege of welcoming to our school Dan from the Royal Institution (Ri) who came to deliver the Ri’s Science in Schools show to all of our Year 7 pupils.
As promised, the show was jam-packed with exciting live demos, experiments and hands-on participation, showcasing static electricity, generators and how magnetism and electricity work together. Students also witnessed the earliest demos that ever showed how electricity can be used and harnessed, developed by two of the Royal Institution’s most famous scientists Faraday and Davy.
It was clear from all the students’ faces that they were thoroughly fascinated by the show and left the show feeling even more inquisitive, excited, inspired and motivated about science.
Furthermore, Dan was extremely impressed by the exemplary behaviour of all of our Year 7 students as he said:
"The pupils in this school are so well behaved. I've been to a lot of schools and the behaviour of Robert Clack pupils is by far the best"
Such a statement by Dan speaks volumes of the excellent behaviour of our pupils at Robert Clack School.
