On Wednesday the 15th of June, thirty year 7 students participated in a Music and Science workshop at the Royal Albert Hall.
After travelling to West London, students enjoyed lunch at the West Albert Lawn.
Before heading into the Royal Albert Hall, we couldn’t resist taking a picture in front of The Albert Memorial.
The workshop was led by one instructor who had a long, varied scientific and musical career. The workshop mainly consisted of demonstrating sound and light waves, volume and frequency work, to which our students showed great enthusiasm and a great knowledge of this prior to the workshop.
After showing very insightful demonstrations on how light waves and sound waves work, it wouldn’t have been a real visit to the Royal Albert Hall without visiting the concert hall, to which our students were all amazed to see.
The last part of our workshop was the students given a task of creating a rap based on what they have done throughout the workshop. Our students made us proud by creating musical insightful raps to the class.
To end the day we took one last picture in front of the legendary Royal Albert Hall. The workshop and trip proved to be a very insightful and fun experience.
