At Robert Clack we offer specialised EAL support and provision for pupils. We have a dedicated team of staff to work with pupils. We offer a range of support options, from classroom support, to groups and individualised tuition.
We have a strong focus on integration and all of our EAL pupils are supported and encouraged to access a full and varied curriculum.
We assess students using the Bell Framework and tailor our strategies to each individual student’s needs. All teachers are trained in delivering differentiated curriculum to support new language learners.
Robert Clack is an inclusive school and our students speak over 50 different languages. We encourage pupils to embrace and celebrate their differences in all aspects of school life. In year 9 students are offered the opportunity (where available) to take GCSE exams in their home language.
