Gosfield Road

Mr L Clarke (Head of Year)

I am delighted to be taking on this cohort of year 10 students as they begin their journey of achieving excellence in their GCSE subjects.

Every year plays a role in your success at school, but I believe year 10 is an important year for students in Robert Clack. Students get a fresh start at Upper Site and are able to really set the foundation for their GCSE’s. Year 10 is year where you now focus on core subjects alongside your chosen subjects. This is where hard work is vital, and perseverance is key.

As a year group we will endeavour to make sure we embrace the core values of the school. We will have mutual respect for one another while showing compassion. We will ensure that we demonstrate discipline by having high expectations and aspirations.

Here at Robert Clack, community is a word used very often and in addition to academic success we celebrate all achievements and accomplishments both in and out of school. I look forward to us not only celebrating wins but also encouraging one another as we strive towards our goals.

I am very excited for the future of this year group, and I know with the hard work of staff and the support of parents/careers, together we can accomplish great success.

I feel extremely lucky to be leading this exceptional year group as they embark on their journey towards their GCSE’s. Since Year 7 they have continued to demonstrate the highest of standards which uphold every one of our core values. I have no doubt that they will proceed to do so as they continue to be fantastic role models for our younger students here at Lymington Fields.

This is Year 10’s most important year to date; a fresh start to discover exactly what it is they would like to achieve following on from their years with us at Robert Clack. With their continued dedication to; our BRAVE expectations, hard work, and resilience they have the potential to achieve enormous success.

As a reminder, our students are expected to:

  • Behave – in line with the school’s ethos and values
  • Responsible – to have the correct equipment , complete their homework and take responsibility for their actions
  • Attitude - to adopt a positive mind-set to their learning and develop resilience
  • Virtuous – to be truthful, have good morals and work as part of a community
  • Effort – to try their very best in everything they do

Robert Clack is a School where we believe recognising achievements and success is of high importance, therefore we will continue to enjoy doing so through our bi-weekly assemblies. This Year 10 cohort are no strangers to positive recognition, but there is evidence to suggest that this year group has the potential to be one of the most successful year groups’ Robert Clack has ever seen. So as a year group that is a title, we do our upmost to strive for.

I am excited to continue setting strong pathways for this year groups future ahead, supporting them daily through not only the triumphs, but any challenges they may encounter along the way too. They will always be encouraged to be the absolute best they can be, and I know with the support from parents and guardians, together we can ensure every individual reaches their maximum potential. I thank parents, carers in advance for your support.
