Notable successes with the year group
With smaller class sizes, expert teaching and outstanding in-class support; year 9 students on the Gosfield Road site make rapid progress in their learning across all subject areas.
The ultimate aim is to provide these students with a platform from which they can achieve the excellent exam results that they deserve when they reach their GCSE courses.
Complimentary to this is the positive, hard-working and enthusiastic working environment created amongst the students through our pupil of the week awards and the inter-form competition which champion not only academic achievement but positive contributions across the wider school community.
This year the most notable success has been the vast number of different students receiving positive referrals and pupil of the week nominations, resulting in a fiercely contested inter-form points competition between all three forms.
On top of this there have been some notable sporting achievements as well; with a Year 9 Gosfield Road representative team winning the Blast Beats football tournament in October 2015 and Danny Spooner continuing to prove he is an excellent long distance runner.
Keep up the excellent work!
