About the subject

The English Language and Literature course aims to promote a love of reading and literature and an enjoyment of language. The course will enable students to develop skills of analysis, interpretation and critical writing, and to extend their ability to write in a variety of styles and for a range of purposes and effects.

 

The combined English Language and Literature course will provide students with an effective grounding for further academic study in arts and humanities subjects, and with key skills highly sought after by employers in the creative industries.
