About the subject

A Level art and Design is a facility for creative maturation and discovery, designed to allow students to further their ideas, understanding, and application of art techniques acquired while in GCSE and to push their conceptual practise in the creation of their own work. Students learn to creatively develop original ideas and art work independently, following the design process through both dictated and negotiated themes. It provides students the obvious opportunities of further university application in the fields of art, photography, and or fashion, but also beyond, benefiting those who are looking to progress in graphics, web / video design, advertising, communications, architecture, interior design, event manager, teaching, art therapy etc.
